Taking a crack at it

While my partner in crime Clifton Stommel Photography has been doing UV portraiture, I've started working with the human form. He's today's guest writer for my images!

David Carradine's got nothin on these teeth!

Taking a nap in class. "The teacher will think I'm just reading this book REALLY close"

Moles. So many of them.

This is how I got hit in the face with my own hand a lot as a child.
"You know... if you're hand is bigger than your face then you have {terminal sounding illness}"

No smart-alleck comment here. I simply enjoy this one immensely.

Time heals all wounds.

Bodyscape!

This is as charming as I get folks. Take it or leave it.

Every Spine Ever makes me thing of dragons. This is the price paid for nerddom.

Like I assumed many children did, the day I found out that if I held my breath while trying to inhale really hard, I could store quarters and other things in the pockets on my collarbone: everything changed.

More of his work with UV and Infrared can be found at his blog here!

It's puppy time!

Spending some time in Indianapolis helping out Clifton with photo gigs and trying to rustle up work of my own, in between work there are two 11 week old puppies! Here is little girl Nike (named after the goddess of victory), she is sharp and already smart enough to cause tons of trouble!

And here is little Nuke (yes, like a nuclear plant) who is a giant wiggly baby who loves snuggling and being dorky.

I'm too busy for sleep with these guys!

Have a Slice

I am so excited about my kiwi character! He just popped into my head and now refuses to leave under any circumstances, but I'm not upset about it.

Greenery

I find plants interesting, and what's better is tiny plants, thus terrariums were bound to happen. This is photographic evidence of my escapades:

my favorite one, so well designed and so pretty *sighs*

made with coffee grounds!

buttons..... eh....

tiny terrarium! its a baby food jar! can't stand the cuteness!

my little beta Mary, she tries to kill anything that comes close, I love my fiery redhead! I thought I'd have her be part of my biosphere but she's just a little too happy to eat everything else that moves that that idea didn't last long.

this is my attempt at a biosphere, there are guppies and glass shrimp in the water with a water plant and a spider plant as a part of it.

you may not be able to see it but there is a glass shrimp hanging out in the left jar, slight obsession with living things that are transparent. can't wait to get that jellyfish!
